Welcome to the admission portal of Rangia Teacher Training College.
Every year, Gauhati University conducts the GUBEDCET (Gauhati University B.Ed. Common Entrance Test) for admission into the Bachelor of Education (Semester Mode) Programme across affiliated colleges in Assam.

Step 1: Appear in GUBEDCET

Admission to B.Ed. colleges under Gauhati University begins with the entrance examination called GUBEDCET.

Important Timeline (Tentative Every Year)
  • May: Online application starts through the official Gauhati University admission portal
  • June / July: GUBEDCET Entrance Examination is conducted by Gauhati University
  • July End / August Beginning:
    • Gauhati University publishes the Provisional Merit List of candidates
    • If any correction is required, candidates may submit their correction request within the stipulated time
    • After verification, Gauhati University publishes the Final Merit List, which is the official merit list for admission
Step 2: Apply to Individual B.Ed. Colleges

After publication of the Final Merit List by Gauhati University, candidates must apply separately to their preferred B.Ed. colleges.

Many colleges use offline admission mode, but at Rangia Teacher Training College, we follow a fully Online Admission Process only.

  • No offline form submission
  • No hardcopy submission during application
  • Incomplete applications will be rejected
  • Unpaid applications will not be considered
  • Only successfully submitted online applications are valid

Usually, our admission link remains live for only 5โ€“6 days during July last week or August first week.
Candidates are strongly advised to complete the process within the deadline.

Step 3: Prospectus Download

We provide an Online Prospectus for candidates who successfully complete:

  • Online Application Form Submission
  • Payment of Admission Application Fee

Only completed applicants can access the Download Prospectus option.

Need Hardcopy Prospectus?

Candidates may collect the hardcopy prospectus from the college office by showing:

  • Submitted Online Application Form
  • Payment Receipt
Step 4: Merit List & Wait List Publication

After closure of applications, Rangia Teacher Training College publishes:

  • Merit List
  • Wait List
  • Additional Wait List

Selection is strictly based on merit and valid application status.

Applications with incomplete information or unpaid fees are automatically rejected.

Step 5: Admission Reporting (Physical Presence Mandatory)

Admission opens date-wise in the following order:

  1. Merit List Candidates
  2. Wait List Candidates
  3. Additional Wait List Candidates

All shortlisted applicants must visit the college office physically on their allotted date and time.

Reporting Rules
  • Reporting signature is compulsory
  • Missing reporting time means automatic disqualification
  • Punctuality and discipline are mandatory
  • Your name will be called only three times
  • No response = Next applicant will be considered

If you fail to report on time, the college cannot take responsibility.
Admission is strictly transparent and merit-based.

Step 6: Spot Admission (If Seats Remain Vacant)

If seats remain vacant due to:

  • Withdrawal of admission
  • Cancellation
  • Non-reporting
  • Permission-based seat surrender

Then the college announces Spot Admission.

Spot Admission Rules

Candidates must remain alert and regularly check notices on the website.

Even for a single vacant seat, notification will be published.

On Spot Admission Day:

  • Physical presence is compulsory
  • Selection is based on merit among reporting candidates
  • No exceptions are entertained

GUBEDCET Previous Year Notice (Reference)

As per the previous year notice:

  • Total Questions: 100
  • Duration: 2 Hours
  • Fee: Rs. 2000 + Bank Charges
  • MCQ Based Examination
  • OMR Based Test
  • Marking: +4 for Correct Answer, -1 for Wrong Answer
  • Cut-off: 80 (Unreserved), 60 (Reserved Category)
