Rangia Teacher Training College (RTTC), located in the historically significant town of Rangia, is a leading institution for teacher education in Assam and across India. Established in 1987, the college has been providing quality teacher training through its B.Ed. program. Additionally, since the academic year 2020-21, RTTC has expanded its offerings to include a B.A. program, catering to students pursuing both honours and regular courses.

Over the past three decades, Rangia T.T. College has produced numerous B.Ed. graduates, contributing significantly to the field of education. The institution transitioned to a two-year B.Ed. program starting from the 2015-16 academic session, further enhancing its teacher education curriculum.

In 1991, the Government of Assam, via Deputy Commissioner Kamrup's letter number KRS.13/90/28A, dated August 9, 1991, allocated 10,702.08 square meters of land to Rangia Teacher Training College. The institution possesses its own building on this land. A residential area is present on the premises, providing housing for the Principal, Assistant Professor, Grade III staff, and Grade IV employees.

The college building, completed by 2016, is a disabled-friendly, U-shaped structure incorporating two classrooms, a Psychology Laboratory, an I.T. Laboratory, a substantial Library with an adjoining Reading Room, a Girl's Common Room, and an Activity Room. Furthermore, the building contains two large multipurpose halls, each capable of accommodating over two hundred individuals. The total built-up area within the college campus currently measures 3,717.37 square meters. A (G+2) building, with a projected built-up area of 2,200.76 square meters, is presently under construction.
